Sports franchises and partners have built their success on audience engagement. In light of recent events, I know we’re all doing our best to manage through a difficult time. If you’re missing sports as much as we are, we invite you to play along with our Hometown Heroes trivia contest this week to win a PlayStation 4 (if you’re like me, social distancing has rekindled a spirit for video games). The contest will be live 8am – 10pm / CT Mon-Fri through April 17, 2020; participate on mobile for an optimized user-experience.

If you’re interested in running your own version of our mobile trivia feature for your fans at home, we’re extending a free 30-day trial available through April 30.

Here’s how our clients are using our Trivia game to keep fans engaged remotely:

Design

Trivia can be configured as a timed or non-timed experience; timed games are live and played at a specific time with set durations for each question, whereas non-timed contests are available throughout the day with no time limits on questions. Our web-URL application offers easy integration within existing team mobile application or website landing page. Graphics and content can be completely customized around team and/or partner branding, and freely interchanged from week to week.

Attract

My screen reports have been skyrocketing during isolation, and I imagine the same is true for many of your fans. Interactive contests are a nice way to get fans spending quality minutes in your team app. Promote contests to fans through social infographics, e-newsletters, or push notifications. Prize incentives to win are a great way to get more fans playing!

Engage

One-click “Start Game” launches the contest for fans on their mobile devices. Fan plays are reported live in your dashboard so you can watch the engagement unfold. Teams can draw winners randomly, or configure digital coupons for everyone; a prize for all correct answers, and an offer for non-correct participants. In addition to “Trivia Tuesday” types of contests, teams have incorporated mobile trivia into their Twitch.TV streams, and discussed plans for Facebook Live broadcasts.

Let us know if you’re interested in playing trivia with your fans and we’ll support you with utilizing our platform to accomplish this. The Fannex team believes helping customers to remain engaged with their fans during this time is a way we can contribute.

Wishing you all health and safety.
